Welcome to my page! This is my first post! If you don't know me, my name is Katelynne and I am an esthetician in training at a spa school in Florida. I love skincare and have helped women find their routines to help their skin! I'm working on putting up courses on this site for people who can't find the right products for their skin, and I am here for you if you have any questions.
I wanted to start off my blog by choosing skincare ingredients every week that are popular right now and evaluating on why they are good for your skin, or why they are not good for your skin.
Vitamin C is one of the trends at the moment. It's in serums, moisturizers, cleansers, masks, all kinds of skin care products contain it but its confusing to know why its good for you. The companies put on their page "vitamin c and brightening" but does it really do it's job?
My answer to that is YES. There is a reason why vitamin c is so popular right now, and it is because it is so beneficial to the skin.
Here's just a few of the benefits you can get from vitamin c in your skincare products:
- Fights damage from the environment
- Helps fade dark skin pigment
- Stops inflammation
-Repairs a dull complexion
-Boost collagen production
-Smooths fine lines and wrinkles
-Helps prevent premature aging
These sound pretty awesome, right? But how do you know what types of vitamin c products to incorporate into your daily regimen?
Here's my tips and opinion on Vitamin C for your skin type:
For Oily Skin:
Try a Vitamin C serum. They are light-weight and won't cause breakouts or excess oil production
For Dry Skin:
Try using a Vitamin C night cream. It will moisturize your dry skin while giving it a boost of brightness
For Sensitive Skin and Mature Skin:
Try using a gentle Vitamin C cleanser. It is simple and good for your skin without being too harsh.
For Normal Skin:
Use any of these you prefer! I personally prefer serums because they are more lightweight as well as the ingredients can be more potent than they would be in a cleanser.
Hope this answers your questions about Vitamin C! If you have any other questions send me an email: katelynnerebekah@gmail.com
